Kano Pillars fans have a fresh reason to smile off the pitch as the club confirmed a new shirt sponsorship arrangement with RAFA Detergent, who now take over as the official front jersey sponsor for the rest of the 2025/26 NPFL campaign.
The announcement came on Sunday, with the club describing the tie-up as another step forward for Sai Masu Gida. In the statement, Pillars said: "This partnership marks another important milestone in the growth of Sai Masu Gida as we welcome RAFA Detergent to the Kano Pillars family."
RAFA Detergent's logo will now sit on the front of both the home and away jerseys, taking the spot previously held by Radio France International (RFI) Hausa, whose N100 million deal covered last season. RAFA is known as one of the fastest-rising detergent brands in the north, and its arrival means Pillars now have a second detergent company in their sponsorship history, following Aspira Nigeria's Viva brand, which fronted the shirt back in the 2020/21 season.
This commercial move fits into a bigger picture at the club. Under General Manager Ahmed Musa, Kano Pillars have been working to cut down reliance on Kano State government funding by courting private investment, and deals like the RFI Hausa partnership and various local business tie-ups have followed that path. RAFA Detergent becomes the latest name to back that vision.
For supporters, there is an added layer of interest here because Ahmed Musa is not just steering these commercial deals from the office — he has also been among the goals on the pitch this season, netting against Doma United FC on Matchday 4 and again against Sporting Lagos FC on Matchday 7.
Pillars fans should expect to see the new RAFA-branded kits officially unveiled before Matchday 8. Before that, attention turns to Wednesday's trip to face Shooting Stars, a Matchday 3 fixture, as Sai Masu Gida look to build on a run that has yielded two wins and four draws from their opening matches this term.
