Defender Ibrahim Inuwa has left Kano Pillars to join Ranchers Bees ahead of the 2026-27 NPFL season, with the Makurdi-based club officially confirming the deal on Tuesday.
Ranchers Bees made the announcement on their X account, stating: "We are proud to announce the signing of Ibrahim Inuwa from Kano Pillars. A new journey begins, and we're excited to see him wear the black and yellow with pride."
Inuwa's time at Kano Pillars was limited. The defender managed just 10 appearances for the club throughout the entire last NPFL season, a campaign in which he received a yellow card in the final away fixture against Plateau United back in May.
For Sai Masu Gida supporters, the departure is unlikely to cause major concern given his minimal involvement in the squad. The club's focus now shifts to building a stronger and deeper group for the season ahead, with the NPFL having confirmed an August 28 kick-off date for the 2026-27 campaign.
Kano Pillars are also reported to be closing in on the appointment of Salisu Yusuf as head coach, which would be one of the more significant developments in the club's pre-season preparations. Inuwa becomes the second player to leave Pillars for Ranchers Bees this transfer window, following the earlier departure of Jibrin to the same club.
