Kano Pillars could not find a breakthrough against Enyimba on Matchday 6, with the clash at the Sani Abacha Stadium finishing goalless. For the home fans, the point stretches an unbeaten run that now reads two wins and three draws from the opening six matches of the season, though the inability to convert chances at home will be a concern heading into the next set of fixtures.

Enyimba, who arrived in Kano on the back of four straight defeats, will be far happier with the outcome than the Sai Masu Gida faithful. The result gave the nine-time NPFL champions their first point of the campaign, a small but significant lift for a side that had struggled badly in the early weeks.

Kano Pillars now turn their attention to Matchday 7, when they host Sporting Lagos FC at home on October 3. With the squad still unbeaten domestically this season, the players will be keen to return to winning ways in front of their own supporters after two goalless outings in their last three matches.

Elsewhere in the league, defending champions Rangers suffered a setback, losing 2-0 away to Ikorodu City at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan. Aderemi Adeoye put the hosts ahead in the eighth minute before Ikechukwu Junior added a second just after the hour mark.

Plateau United moved up to second on the table courtesy of a 2-0 win over Inter Lagos at the New Jos Stadium, with Gideon Monday and Jibrin Ibrahim on the scoresheet for Gbenga Ogunbote's team.

There were also away wins for Kun Khalifat FC, who beat Kwara United 1-0 in Owerri through Igwe Igweuzo's 64th-minute strike, and for Warri Wolves, who edged Shooting Stars 1-0 thanks to an eighth-minute goal from Othuke Egbo.

Abia Warriors posted the biggest scoreline of the round, thrashing Bendel Insurance 3-0 in Aba. Ikoi Etta opened the scoring in the 16th minute before Emeka Obioma struck twice, in the 24th and 40th minutes, to seal a comfortable win for Imama Amapakabo's side.

In Katsina, the home side came from behind to beat Doma United 2-1. Luis Dadong converted a penalty in the 12th minute for Katsina United, Sadiq Rilwan levelled matters for Doma just after the half-hour, before Mukhtar Ismail netted the winner 15 minutes from time.

For Kano Pillars supporters, the focus now shifts firmly to Matchday 7 and the visit of Sporting Lagos FC, with the team looking to turn draws into victories as the season progresses.
