Ahmed Musa has voiced his optimism ahead of Kano Pillars' Matchday 30 clash against Niger Tornadoes at the Bako Kontagora Stadium in Minna.
The forward took to social media before the game to send a short but clear message: "Minna be nice to us (Kano Pillars)." For a club sitting just two points above the relegation zone on 35 points, those words carry real weight.
The Sai Masu Gida will be eager to build on their 1-0 home win over Barau FC last week, with Abdullahi Musa grabbing that vital goal in the 63rd minute. Three points in Minna would give the team some much-needed breathing space in the standings.
History, though, is not on Pillars' side in this particular fixture. The last time these two sides met in the same setting, Niger Tornadoes came out 3-2 winners. Rabiu Ali and Auwalu Naziru scored for Pillars that day, but goals from Kufre Ebong, Ismail Sarki and Joseph Godstime handed Tornadoes the win.
Pillars will be hoping for a different outcome this time around.
