Captain Ahmed Musa has returned to training with Kano Pillars and will be available for Sunday's home clash against El-Kanemi Warriors in Matchday 27 of the Nigeria Premier Football League.

The experienced forward had missed recent fixtures owing to family commitments but rejoined his teammates during Thursday's training session at the Sani Abacha Stadium.

Musa's presence provides a significant lift for coach Mohammed Babaganaru as Sai Masu Gida battle to climb away from the relegation zone. The 34-year-old has found the net three times this season for Pillars.

Sunday's encounter with El-Kanemi Warriors kicks off at the Sani Abacha Stadium, where Pillars will look to build on their strong home form and secure vital points in their survival campaign.

Musa's return comes at a crucial time for the Kano outfit, who need every available weapon in their fight to preserve their top-flight status this term.
