Nasiru Dauda

Nasiru Dauda grew up in Kano three streets from the Sani Abacha Stadium. His uncle took him to his first Pillars match in 1998 — a league game he still talks about today. The walk home after a Yellow-Greens win is one of his earliest memories.

He spent years writing about Northern Nigerian football for regional outlets before deciding that Pillars supporters deserved something better than a few paragraphs buried in a national sports roundup. In 2024 he launched kanopillars.com.ng: one dedicated place for results, fixtures, squad profiles and NPFL news — updated every day, built entirely around the club.

The site pulls data from live football sources and refreshes daily. Everything you see here — the table, the squad, the fixtures — reflects what is actually happening with Kano Pillars right now, not yesterday's version from a generic aggregator that barely knows where Kano is.

Nasiru still lives in Kano. He still watches every home game from the same section of the stadium. He is still waiting for the title he has been promised every pre-season since he was nine.
